Hi, I’m John Prichard. I write screenplays, take photos, and make films in Orange County (oh, and my middle name starts with a “W,” but we can play that guessing game later).
I like good stories, interesting people, and figuring out how to turn a nugget of an idea into something worth watching—and sharing.
Whether I’m behind the camera, staring at a blank page (for hours), or collaborating on set, I bring curiosity, preparation, and a healthy appreciation of the absurd to every project.
MY CREATIVE PHILOSOPHY
Good creative work starts with curiosity. It gets better when the right people start asking questions. Even better when they work together to find the answers.
Screenwriting taught me to pay attention to character, perspective, and the little details that make something unique. Photography forced me to slow down and recognize those details when they happen right in front of me. Filmmaking showed me how much better an idea can get when talented people put their heads together to make something better than any one of them could have made alone.
Three different disciplines. One goal: tell something worth remembering.
